it used to work great. and I would get the updated subscription app, but this one goes to a black screen. when I turn it horizontally. I was using it for a commercial production shoot and it failed me miserably.

the lens won't switch at all. I've cleared everything. where is the version we paid for? this app used to be great before it got ruined, seemingly to drive users to the new subscription app. all I want is what I already paid for

This used to be the best app ever. Sadly, I paid £30 to the scammers who took the money and sold the company and discontinued support for the app... They promised bug fixes. Nope. Their link to the app doesn't even work. Now they don't even acknowledge emails.

Fine until it's not. I was amongst the original people that purchased a Filmic license before they decided to switch to a software as a service model instead of honoring the license I purchased. I've actually been completely satisfied with Filmic Legacy until the most recent update to Samsung One UI 7 and now for some reason whenever I switch to different camera or Mic in Filmic legacy it freezes. Luckily the stock Samsung camera app can now use my USB mic.

Good app in its day. As a average Joe, not paying a subscription for the pro version. I paid for this original and should have been grandfathered in to a working version. This one doesn't work at all on my S25 ultra.

I'm disappointed to see the switch to a subscription, but this "legacy" version seems to run fine on my Pixel 7 Pro. I'm shopping for alternatives that will have long term support, as the replies to other reviews have made it pretty clear that Filmic is focusing on V7 only. So far Motion Cam looks good and it costs a month of Filmic V7 payments.

This is not the app I had before. After being extorted to download it, I instantly see problems. If the developer had integrity, they would have offered a new product and left "legacy" intact and stable. But they tried to be slick by coercing us into a trial by forcing onerous procedures on us with a buggy revision. Despicable. Not dealing with them anymore because they demonstrated that they are not trustworthy.

The Filmic team really messed up with this one. There is absolutely no way in HELL this is the same app as v6, it's incredibly buggy now which just makes absolutely no sense because it was fine before. Seems to me like they are trying to push users to subscribe to the new one. Before the team says anything, I already restarted, cleared storage, and ran diagnostics. I even tested on multiple devices, this app is totally ruined and I will be switching to mcpro24fps.

I don't know if others are experiencing this but the app does not open the UI unless it is connected to the Internet. otherwise if it is not it states to "check your connection". Was an inconvenient discovery on a hike I was trying to record. Hopefully gets fixed soon so that I can resume recording in times I have no access to the Internet. Works fine when it is online.

After a very frustrating process of getting the app running (and trying to follow advice that didn't work), the I've got it going, and it seems to be working well. It feels like Filmic is simply hedging their bets, and hoping that the backlash against the subscription model wears off over time. But it's sad to see their ratings so low - they clearly didn't handle the transition well. It's a good app when it works.

Just heartbreaking to pay into the app with all its great features and high quality output only to have it replaced with one using a subscription service. A real shame.
